Concepts: This work is a reflective set of abstract paintings consisting of subjective perceptions of racial personhood in American culture which is reminiscent of the features of different races. For each painting, they are an individual; at the same time, they are a member of the whole unit. Or perhaps each painting represents its own unique environment. The transformation of the environment makes us begin to perceive and examine ourselves as a race.
When the perspective is enlarged, we can feel the diversity, conflicts, and changes that occur in the process of integration and permeation of different ethnic identities.
