Concepts: The underwater images can be originated form Socrates’cave theory, a metaphor on how humans know the world. The prisoners in the story have to go through three phases to see the real world-the shadows of things, the reflections on the water and the reality.

The water image is in the middle of true and false, the intermediate state of shadow and reality.

Concepts: The Correction compared the stereotyped aesthetics of women in East Asia and the West in this work. In the background of plastic surgery, the surgery model for East Asian women is completely different from the Western stereotyped aesthetic standards for Asian women, or even the opposite. Concepts: "Gift" discussed the issue of the “female virginity complex” in China. Here the core value of virginity is part of a wider symbolic complex in which the chastity of women is the key concept. I recalled my childhood family education, that is, to be a "good girl" and remain pure until marriage, like a brand new gift, waiting for the opening of a certain night... Concepts: #1: I colored an old photo found on google, portraying three kids in early modern China. I took the liberty of imagining their color and put them on. Concepts: The world is like the ocean, and we are all fish in the ocean. Everyone's fate is like a fish in a market, which has already been decided. To portray this inevitable fate, I painted the details of a fish market, in which fish meat is broken down into many different pieces. Our life is also broken down into different blocks and different details of fate, but in the face of our dismembered destiny, we are powerless. Tags: watercolor Size: 23*30.5cm
